Hydraulic control chain
The command signal is converted into hydraulic modulation within the servo valve. The resulting flow moves the actuator and positions the system's final control element.
Response depends on the complete assembly: control electronics, servo valve, hydraulic supply, actuator, position feedback and the mechanical condition of the load.
Variables affecting performance
| Variable | Technical effect |
|---|---|
| Supply pressure | Influences available force and actuator response. |
| Flow rate | Affects movement speed. |
| Fluid cleanliness | Is important for components with small passages and close tolerances. |
| Signal and feedback | Determine the relationship between command and achieved position. |
| Friction and load | Can affect accuracy, repeatability and stability. |
Servo valve, actuator and system
A position deviation does not identify the responsible component on its own. Assessment must distinguish electrical, hydraulic, mechanical and feedback issues before an intervention or replacement is defined.
Hydraulic and electrical interfaces, flow, pressure, dynamics and environmental conditions must be assessed together.
